On Wednesday 21st November Elizabeth Pelley arranged flowers entitled “Let it Snow”
Elizabeth’s arrangements had a Christmas theme with white, gold and silver used in her designs. She told us how she lives near the sea in Hampshire and that she teaches flower arranging classes.
Her first arrangement was designed on a large sledge with orchids and a large green bow which looked like aspidistra leaf but was in fact a silk ribbon.
She created a large green and white parallel arrangement with antirrhinums and chrysanthemums and a wreath with a foam ring backed by a star of twigs.
Other arrangements used a hatstand, purple brassicas and baubles and a more exotic arrangement used “candles” made from bouquet holders.
Our next meeting is on Wednesday 12th December when we have our Christmas lunch and AGM but no demonstration.
The first meeting in the new year is on 16th January when Pat Dibben will be arranging flowers entitled “Fabulous Flower”.
Visitors are very welcome.
